Wednesday's Word

I think these seems fitting though it's NOT quote day!

“Raising teenagers is like nailing Jell-o to a tree”

or
“Mothers of Teenagers Know Why Animals Eat Their Young”

When they seem to have forgotten the dishes do not go on the ground, wading is required to get to their bed, When their expression asks.."Are you crazy", when they cry one minute and roll on the ground laughing the next, when they eat straight out of the refrigerator for a solid hour, and they stare at you while you talk to them only to realize their I-Pod earbuds are snugly in place, and they can't hear a word you say
.....these verses comes to mind.

Fathers, don't exasperate your children by coming down hard on them. Take them by the hand and lead them in the way of the Master.

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.  So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.”

In case you are wondering what the burning bush has to do with any of this let me just say this. If you have ventured into a teenagers habitat (bedroom) you will know that an incinerating burning bush would come in quite handy. I could talk with God and have the floor ablaze all at the same time!!!
